A couple months back, I was feeling burnt out and desperately craving some down time. The first place that came to mind for a quick weekend escape was Carmel, which I’ve always loved for its dramatic coastlines, dog-friendly beaches, and excellent down-home dining. So I packed my weekender bag (and one for my dog Bento, of course!) and headed up the coast to check into the new and incredibly charming Petit Pali in the quaint seaside hamlet of Carmel.
It was just the type of slow moment I needed, and I imagine you might too. Which is why I tapped my cousin and local expert Adrea Simmons, who has worked at Pebble Beach for over 16 years, to share her tips on what to do in this seaside town on the Monterey Peninsula.
