There’s no place more aligned with the winter outdoors than Boulder, Colorado. But the progressive town is so much more than incredible hiking. And there’s no better person to open up our perspective than Lauren Bate, the founder of Wild Terrains, a travel company that collaborates exclusively with female hoteliers, chefs, artists, and designers for global itineraries that include trips throughout the Western United States and Mexico.
Of course, her advice weaves in many women-led businesses, and includes plenty to do in the great outdoors, including old faithfuls like Chautauqua Park, at the base of the Flatirons; and, because Boulder is one of the most dog-friendly cities in the world, spots like Brainard Lake Recreation Area for paddleboarding with the pooches. You can read all about her favorites in the Berkeley of the Rockies in our recent print issue on stands now, or over on the site.
